Throughout the term, after reading through peer comments, I have caught on to some common mistakes I make while writing. A lot of comments I receive are flagging run-on sentences. Sometimes I don’t realize how long my thoughts go without a period but over the semester have become more aware. I have been working with this as well as making my sentences more complex to make them sound better. Instead of simple filler sentences I have been adding more descriptive sentences using a complex sentence structure. Lastly, near the end of the term we talked about how to punctuate writing around your quotes. We learned when and where to punctuate before leading into a quote. We also learned how to take pieces of quotes out and add clarifying words in brackets to the quotes.
